SwingAge Palermo presents the 2nd Edition of the Sicilian Swingage Festival!
We look forward to welcoming you in the stunning setting of the historic beach resort Alle Terrazze in Mondello, to spend a weekend surrounded by the magic of swing music and dance. The location Alle Terrazze is one of the Belle Epoque simbolo in Palermo. Alongside internationally renowned teachers of the highest caliber and extraordinary bands, we will experience something truly unique.
In addition to workshops and social dances, this edition will honour swing history and culture, with a special tribute to the legendary Norma Miller, who performed her unforgettable final concert for our audience right here in Palermo.

Mondello Beach is located just a few kilometers from Palermo, in Sicily, and is famous for its natural beauty and crystal-clear waters. With its fine, golden sand, it is an ideal place to sunbathe and swim. The beach is framed by a lively promenade filled with restaurants and cafes, where you can enjoy typical Sicilian dishes, such as fresh fish and artisanal ice creams.
Alle Terrazze, one of Mondello’s historic and exclusive locations, was our choice par excellence for our event. Its large and splendid terrace will offer incredible emotions.

Lindy Hop
Improvers
You have been dancing for at least 1 year attending classes and social dances regularly. You can easily dance in 6 and 8 counts rhythm and figures.
Intermediate
You have been dancing for at least 2 years. You regularly attend social dances. You know the basic figures of Lindy Hop and became familiar with the rhythmic variations. You have developed good musicality and improvisation skills, even on fast rhythms.
IMPORTANT: Teachers will evaluate any possible switch of level.
Advanced
You have been dancing regularly for at least 3 years. You regularly attend social dances and international workshops. You feel comfortable with any tempo, from slow to fast. You’ve been improving your inner sense of musicality as well as improvisation and creativity.
IMPORTANT: Teachers will evaluate any possible switch of level.
Advanced Plus
You have been dancing for some years and your experience goes beyond weekly classes. You regularly invest in your growth through international workshops, additional training, competitions and/or teaching in your local scene. You show strong technique, sense of musicality and confidence in different tempos.

Improvers/Intermediate
You know the main Jazz Steps, the Charleston and routines like the shim sham, as well as a smattering of the Big Apple. Take classes with ease even at the fastest pace.
Advanced/Advanced Plus
You know the Jazz vocabulary, the Charleston and the main jazz routines. You can memorize a choreography and perform it even on the fastest rhythms, as well as improvise on any rhythm.

- Follow the signs to the airport train station. Trains to Palermo run approximately every 30 minutes.
- Take the train that stops at San Lorenzo station. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket office, automatic teller machines or via the Trenitalia app.
- Trenitalia ticket: €6.80.
- Get off at San Lorenzo station and walk to the Resurrezione-Villa Adriana stop.
- Take line 544 Amat. You can purchase the ticket at newsstands or tobacconists, from the Amat driver or conductor or via the PalerMobilità app.
- Amat ticket: €1.40
- Once in Mondello, get off at the Stabilimento stop and go towards the festival location Alle Terrazze.
Taxi
- Taxis are available at the airport at various reference points. Follow the directions to reach the collection points. Taxis can offer a quick and direct service to the festival.
- Taxi rate per day: approximately €45.00.
- Taxi fare at night or on holidays: approximately €50.00.
- Once in Mondello, tell the driver the location of the Alle Terrazze festival.

If you arrive in Palermo by train, you can take the AMAT city buses to reach Mondello.
